Ikeda-jinja Shrine
Experience the Legend of Orihime
The oldest existing shrine in Ikeda, Ikeda-jinja is also known as "Ayaha" shrine and princess Ayaha's ancient burial mound, Himemuro-zuka, exists within the shrine grounds. The shrine is also related to the "Legend of Orihime". The enshrined deities are "Emperor Ojin", "Emperor Nintoku" and "Ayahatori Daimyojin God".
The main building was burnt down by Nobunaga and rebuilt be Hideyori in 1604. It is a refined building with a hipped roof.
