The Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum
On August 25,1958,the world's first instant noodle was producted in Ikeda City. The inventor was Mr Momofuku Ando. This Museum has been open to the public since 1999. This Museum introduces the story of inventing the Instant Ramen, and display "Space Ram", the instant noodles that traveled on the space shuttle Discovery and the instant noodles of the world.
Visitors can freely design the cup,choose the soup flavor and add the ingredients you prefer. (Fee:300yen par each cup, no reservation required).
Visitors also can experience the manufacturing process of Chicken Ramen, from mixing wheat flour.(Fees:Adults 500yen, Elementary School students 300yen, prior reservation is necessary).

Daihatsu Motor Plant
Daihatsu is the producer of Internationally successful small car models such as the Mira, Charade, and most recently Terios, Move, and Sirion. Ikeda is the location of the head office and 2 production plants. The Ikeda plants were established in 1939 and 1961 and produce light vehicles, small vehicles and various motor components for their vehicles.
