Ishibashi Shopping Street
This popular market street, sells household goods, utility goods, clothes, books, freshest vegetables, fish, hot bread, etc. Other services include a recently refurbished ofuroya san, a laundromat, real estate agents and of course in the middle of the stretch, the entrance to Hankyu Ishibashi station.
But the most attractive feature of this covered street is the atmosphere - it is always full of people shopping and real characters of Ikeda who have been selling here for years. As this is nearest shopping area to the Osaka University Ikeda campus - this area has a bit of an international feel to it as many international students live in the vicinity. It is a very Japanese area in which to walk, shop or just gather in a coffee shop.
